Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Fharquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox lived on the student allowance, and relied in part-time jobs to increase her funds. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy with her performance compared to that of the other students. She began considering other options. Lennox performed flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. However she left when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. She sang lead in The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox started working on Diva in 1992. It was her first solo album. The album was an enormous hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album that was released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored blues, soul and jazz songs. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on May 19, 2019. It is a collection consisting of four tracks improvised. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let the door open... artwork which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independently-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists were a new-wave band that achieved some recognition in the 1970s. Later, Lennox was joined by fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career in 1992 with the release of Diva that featured several hit songs such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa an album from her studio, that was released in 1995 features songs that are re-imagined from her biggest hits, such as The No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). The singer is acknowledged with seven studio albums by herself as well as a compilation.
