Jennifer has always dreamed of becoming a multi-tasking celebrity. In her youth she indulged in a wide range different musical styles, but mainly Afro-Caribbean rhythms like salsa, merengue and bachata, and mainstream music like pop hip-hop, R&B. Though she was passionate about films, it was the world of music that fascinated her as well. Her most significant influence came from the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Alongside being a talented professional entertainer Jennifer had also been a Catholic schoolgirl. She attended for eight years at an Catholic primary school known as Holy Family, located in The Bronx, before graduating from an all-girls preschool, Preston High School after four years of attendance. In high school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete, playing track and field and tennis. Her entire life was living in a 2-story home in the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer left home when she was 18 and moved in with her parents. In the meantime, Lopez worked at a law firm while she took dance jobs in the evening.
